What a slow stay costs, line by line

A seven-night stay in a garden bungalow in late April and the same seven nights in a pool villa over New Year can differ by a factor of ten, and almost all of that difference is the room. Everything we add on top, the transfers, a market morning, a massage, is a small and stable part of the total. A fixed price list would either hide that or be wrong for most dates.

So each stay is quoted on request. You send dates, party size and the kind of room you want; we reply with one price for the stay and an itemised list of what is in it. The ranges below are typical market figures from published 2026 sources, not our selling prices, so you can sanity-check any quote, ours included.

1. The month. Peak season, roughly December to February, runs 30 to 50 percent above the rest of the year for rooms. September and October rates can drop 40 to 50 percent.
2. The room. A bungalow a short walk from the sand and a beachfront villa in the same bay are different products. We name the property and room type in every quote.
3. Number of nights. Room nights scale directly. Some properties discount stays of a week or more; when they do, we pass it on and show it as a line.
4. Moves and transfers. A second base adds one transfer and sometimes a night at a higher weekend rate. The long stay and rainy-season plans include one move.
5. Treatments and activities. Resort spas charge more than salons. If you want treatments at your own resort, the line rises; if a salon nearby is fine, it falls.
6. Party size. Cars cost the same for one person or four, so per-person transfer costs fall as the party grows.

Flights. Domestic and international fares move daily and you will usually find the same fares we would. Travel insurance. It has to match your health, your country and your activities, which we cannot judge for you; check that it covers weather disruption if you travel from May to October. Most meals. On a slow stay you will want to eat where you like. Mid-range eating on the island runs about 350,000 to 600,000 VND per person per day by one published estimate, and street dishes such as banh mi from a cart cost about 25,000 to 35,000 VND.

Tips are your decision. Theme parks, shows and luxury charters are outside what we do; we leave those to companies that specialise in them.
