Chill Phu Quoc
Is Phu Quoc good for a two-week beach holiday?
Yes, if you pick the months and the area carefully. November to April is the dry season with calm seas on the west coast. Two weeks in one noisy area can feel long, which is why our longest plan splits the stay between two quiet bases.
Do we need a visa for 14 nights?
Foreign visitors entering Phu Quoc directly through an international gate can stay up to 30 days without a visa. If you want to continue to mainland Vietnam afterwards, you need a valid visa first. Check your own nationality's rules before you book flights.
Do you sell day tours?
No. Our plans include a few light activities and transfers. If you want a full-day island tour, any hotel desk can book one; we would rather keep your days open.
How do we get a price?
Send the enquiry form with your dates, party size and the plan you like. We reply by email with one price for the stay and a list of what it includes and excludes.

Stay plans
Can we change the base you suggest?
Yes. The plans show the base we would choose for most people in those months. If you prefer another area, we rebuild the quote around it and tell you what changes, such as longer drives to town.
Can we add nights?
Yes, at the room rate for those dates. Extra nights do not change the activities unless you ask.
Are the plans group tours?
No. Each booking is for your party only. There are no fixed departure dates and no strangers on your transfers.

Seven-night beach stay
Is Ong Lang good for swimming?
Yes in the dry season, when the water on the west coast is calm and clear. Parts of the shore are rocky, more so at low tide, so pick a property on a sandier stretch and pack reef shoes.
Can we do this plan in June?
We would not. From May to October the west coast is rougher. The rainy-season stay moves you to the calmer east coast for part of the week.
Will we need a scooter?
No. Grab works from Ong Lang, and the published fare to Duong Dong is about 80,000 VND. If you do want a scooter, you need a 1968-convention International Driving Permit plus your home motorcycle licence.
Can we swap the massage for something else?
Yes. A kayak morning at Cua Can, a cooking lesson at your property or a second market visit all fit the same slot. Tell us in the enquiry form.

Long stay, 10–14 nights
Why not stay all 14 nights in one place?
You can. A move costs half a day and gives you a new beach, a new walk and a new place for dinner.
Do we need a car for two weeks?
No. Grab works on the west coast, and a car with driver costs about 1,500,000 to 2,000,000 VND for a full day by published figures if you want one for a day. A scooter is cheaper but needs the right licence.
Can we stay longer than 14 nights?
Yes. Visa-free entry to Phu Quoc covers up to 30 days for direct arrivals. Beyond two weeks we usually suggest a room with a kitchen and fewer inclusions.
Is the boat morning safe?
Island trips run with stricter checks since July 2026, including registered vessels and life jackets worn. The captain and the authorities cancel in bad weather, and we rebook or refund that line.

Wellness week
Is there a yoga teacher just for us?
Not by default. The yoga is the property's own morning session for guests. If you want private sessions, tell us in the form and we ask the property whether its instructor takes private bookings.
Can we swap a treatment?
Yes. A facial, an aromatherapy massage or a body scrub can replace any of the three. Published island ranges run from about 400,000 VND for aromatherapy to about 900,000 VND for a facial.
Is April too hot?
April is the hottest month, with midday highs often 34 to 36 °C. The plan still works because the active part of each day ends by 09:30, but December to March is more comfortable.
Do you arrange special diets?
We pass your dietary needs to the property before arrival and ask them to confirm in writing. We do not run a meal programme of our own.

Rainy-season stay
Does it rain all day?
Usually not. The rainy season on Phu Quoc is described as short heavy showers with rougher seas. Some days stay grey; August and September have the most rainy days.
Why split the stay?
Because the south-west monsoon hits the west coast with bigger waves, while east-coast beaches like Bai Sao become calm. The west keeps the sunsets and quieter bays; the east gives you a swimmable sea.
Is it cheaper?
Rooms are. One 2026 survey reports September and October rates can drop 40 to 50 percent. Transfers, massages and meals cost about the same all year.
What if a storm is forecast?
We watch the forecast in the days before arrival and tell you if we think the dates should move. Once you are on the island, the property and your driver will tell you when to stay indoors.

Pricing
Why is your quote higher than a price I found elsewhere?
Usually because the lines differ: a named beachfront room against an unnamed one, a private car against a shuttle, a 60-minute treatment against a 30-minute one. Send us the other quote and we will compare it line by line, even if the cheaper one is the right choice for you.
Do you add a margin to the room rate?
Our price is one total for the stay. The quote shows each item so you can check it against published rates, and we explain any line you ask about.
Which currency do you quote in?
Quotes are in US dollars, the site's quoting currency. Prices on the island itself are in Vietnamese dong, which is why the market ranges on this page are in VND.
Is the rainy season really cheaper?
For rooms, yes: one 2026 survey reports September and October rates can drop 40 to 50 percent. Cars, massages and food cost roughly the same all year.
Read in full: Pricing.
How to book
How far ahead should we book?
For December to February, as early as you can; peak rates are 30 to 50 percent higher. For May to October, a few weeks is usually enough.
Can we book only the transfers and activities?
We prefer to book the room as well, because the plan depends on the base. If you already have a room, tell us where and we will say honestly whether a partial booking makes sense.
Do you need our passport details?
We only need names exactly as printed in the passport to book rooms and transfers. Bring the passport itself; expect the property to ask to see it at check-in.
How do we pay?
Payment methods, the deposit and the balance date are set out on the quote. We send payment details only in reply to your own enquiry.

Areas
Which area is quietest?
Cua Can and the Chua Vic side of Ganh Dau are the furthest from traffic and nightlife. Ong Lang is quiet too but closer to town. All three have some resort construction somewhere along the coast, so we check the property's surroundings before booking.
Which area suits families?
Cua Can has the longest sandy beach of the three. None has a reported lifeguard service, so families who want one should consider Bai Truong or Bai Sao, where flag-marked zones with lifeguards at peak hours are reported.
Can we stay in Duong Dong and still have a slow holiday?
Yes, if you choose a room away from the night market and the main roads. You gain walking access to shops and food and lose the quiet beach on your doorstep.

Ong Lang
Is Ong Lang too far from Duong Dong?
No. It is about 6 km, and a Grab costs about 80,000 VND. It is close enough for a dinner in town and far enough that the night market's noise does not reach the bay.
Can you swim at Ong Lang?
Yes, in the dry season, from the sandier stretches. Parts of the shore are rocky, more so at low tide; reef shoes help.
Is there a supermarket nearby?
Not in the bay. For a full shop, go to Duong Dong; the market there opens at 05:00 and closes at 19:00. Ask your property where the nearest minimart is.
Is Ong Lang good for sunsets?
Yes. It faces west over the sea. Sunset comes between about 17:40 in November and about 18:31 in July.

Cua Can and Vung Bau
Is Cua Can quieter than Ong Lang?
Generally yes, because it is further from Duong Dong. It also has a longer beach. The trade-off is a longer ride for shopping and medical care.
Can we kayak in the rainy season?
On calm mornings, yes, on the river. Sea conditions on the west coast are rougher from May to October, so stay on the river and ask locally.
Is Vung Bau the same as Cua Can?
They are neighbours on the same coast. Vung Bau is the crescent bay between Ong Lang and Bai Dai; Cua Can has the river mouth and a longer straight beach.
Where is the nearest hospital?
Duong Dong has the general hospital, listed as open 24 hours, and the Vinmec international hospital is north in the Bai Dai area. Both need a car.

Ganh Dau
Is Ganh Dau quiet?
The village side, Rach Vem and the Chua Vic area are quiet. The Bai Dai strip to the south is busy with resorts and attractions. Where you stay decides which Ganh Dau you get.
How far is Ganh Dau from the airport?
About 30 to 32 km and 40 to 50 minutes by car to the Bai Dai area, by published figures.
Is there a hospital nearby?
Yes. The Vinmec international hospital is in the Bai Dai area and lists an emergency department.
Can we swim at Ganh Dau beach?
Yes, in the dry season. The sand is coarse coral sand, so reef shoes are useful.

Rainy season
What is the wettest month on Phu Quoc?
August, with about 486 mm on average, followed closely by September at about 474 mm, by a published long-term climate table.
Is May a good month?
May is the first wet month, with about 281 mm on average and 19 rainy days. It is workable for a slow stay, especially with a few nights on the east coast.
Do island boat trips run in the rainy season?
Some do, with earlier departures from May. Some routes are suspended in September, and An Thoi island-hopping is often unreliable in September and October.
Which beach is calm in the rainy season?
East-coast beaches such as Bai Sao and Bai Khem are the calm side in the south-west monsoon, while the west coast gets bigger waves.

Daily costs
How much should we budget per day on Phu Quoc, room excluded?
For mid-range eating and a few rides, about 400,000 to 700,000 VND per person per day, by our arithmetic on published figures. Add massages and activities on top.
Is Grab cheaper than a scooter for a long stay?
If you go into town every other day from Ong Lang, Grab is about 160,000 VND per round trip and needs no licence. Daily scooter hire costs 150,000 to 250,000 VND plus fuel but covers every trip.
Are there ATMs?
Yes. A foreign-card withdrawal costs about 40,000 VND per transaction by one published figure, so take out larger amounts less often.
Where is the nearest hospital to Ong Lang?
Phu Quoc General Hospital in Duong Dong, listed as open 24 hours, is the nearest. The Vinmec international hospital is further north in the Bai Dai area.

About
Are you a local company?
We plan stays on Phu Quoc only, and every plan on this site is built around the island's areas, seasons and published local prices. Contact details are shared by email once you send an enquiry.
Do you guide us during the stay?
No. Our plans are self-paced. Drivers handle transfers and the booked morning outings; the rest of the time you are on your own, with written notes.
Why do you only do Phu Quoc?
Because a slow stay depends on knowing small things well: which part of a bay is rocky, which months the west coast turns rough, how far the market is. That only works on one island.
